according to Reuters, the U.S. government on Wednesday (July 2) local time sent a letter to the two major U.S. ethane producers and exporters, Enterprise Products Partners and Energy Transfer, revoking a restrictive licensing requirement implemented several weeks ago, clearing the way for the resumption of ethane exports to China. The report said this is a signal of a truce in the trade war between the U.S. and China. The report also stated that after the restrictions were lifted, 8 ships have already sailed to China.
