ZKsync: Mailbox contract backward compatibility issues may take 1.5-2 weeks to resolve

Ethereum Layer 2 network ZKsync issued a reminder on X platform that during protocol upgrade v26, there is a temporary issue with backward compatibility of the Mailbox contract, which will affect L1→L2 transactions. Because the relevant transactions were initially processed by the Mailbox contract, but during the v26 upgrade, due to the bridging and L2 being in different transitional stages, the backward compatibility is temporarily not working. Currently, resolving this issue may take 1.5-2 weeks, so it is recommended that users use "requestL2TransactionDirect requestL2TransactionTwoBridges" on BridgeHub, instead of Mailbox, and also recommend migrating to BridgeHub to avoid the Mailbox contract being deprecated in the future.
