Ripple Chief Legal Officer: SEC's appeal of federal judge's decision involving XRP will benefit the crypto industry

Stuart Alderoty, Chief Legal Officer of Ripple Labs, said that as the US SEC prepares to appeal the decision regarding XRP with a federal judge, the agency will face another failure.In an interview, he said, "This will have a boomerang effect on the SEC. I feel good about our case in the Southern District of New York, and even better about the case in the Second Circuit."Alderoty said that when the US SEC first filed a lawsuit against Ripple and its two executives in 2020, the company publicly announced that its legal fight was "representative of the entire industry." He added that this move showed that the SEC "will take action against the entire industry."
