Hunan You County police cracked a USDT scam involving a three-person gang posing as "white, rich, and beautiful women" to steal cryptocurrency.

on the early morning of July 24, the Criminal Investigation Brigade of the You County Public Security Bureau in Hunan successfully raided a USDT fraud den and arrested three suspects, Tang, Zhang, and Xu. The gang rented a residential house as a crime den starting in April 2025, using over 30 mobile phones, more than 10 computers, and overseas phone cards to create fake identities of "single overseas female cryptocurrency enthusiasts" on social platforms such as "Tantan International" and Telegram. They deceived males over 26 years old overseas into establishing romantic relationships, and then lured them to click on links containing Trojan viruses under the guise of "mining mechanism" and "airdrop rewards", stealing USDT assets from Trust wallets. The police seized a batch of crime devices on the scene, and the three suspects have been criminally detained.
