Alibaba's Joseph Tsai: AI data center construction may be a "bubble"

On March 25th, according to Bloomberg, Alibaba Chairman Tsai Chongxin said at the HSBC Global Investment Summit in Hong Kong that the AI data center construction boom is showing signs of a "bubble," warning that the current investment speed has exceeded the actual growth in AI demand. He pointed out that many projects start financing and construction without confirming customers, especially in the United States, where tech giants plan to invest billions of dollars, raising concerns of excessive early deployment. Tsai said, "When people start building data centers without clear usage agreements, I start to worry."
